INTERIOR DESIGNER

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proficient use of AutoCAD, CAP, Configura or other third party software to provide the appropriate design solution.
  • Provides technical skills in the planning and design of various workspace environments.
  • Interacts with the sales, project, and order entry teams working in a team-based environment throughout the design process.
  • Conducts surveys, site verification, inventories and other services relate to obtaining accurate information to analyze client and project needs.
  • Maintains knowledge of developments and trends in the contract furniture industry related to products, applications, design concepts, work styles, ADA, ergonomics, and uniform building codes.
  • Leverages our Work and People Analytics software platform for behavioral space planning.
  • Participates in client presentations on furniture layouts, space plans and other design solutions.
  • Prepares and presents color and finish boards, and product selections; gains customer approvals.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and assist in the preparation of design contracts and time estimates.
  • Maintains and archive thorough, detailed documentation on all assigned projects.
  • Develop product specifications; double-checking specifications against plans; getting specifications order-entry ready with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Works in a cross functional team-based environment with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD or Revit or Configura  
  • CAP 20/20 experience preferred, but not required.
  • Commercial furniture background preferred.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people both within and outside the company.
  • Strong organizational skills.
 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains customer insights to help clients and their businesses through innovative, strategic, and consultative solutions.
  • Networks extensively for leads (business groups, real estate brokers, A&D community, local community organizations, industry organizations—IFMA, BOMA, IIDA, etc.
  • Actively pursue business development, and maintain profitable and mutually beneficial relationships with a focus on creating loyal customers.
  • Use relationship building skills and network to find sources of new business ideally before an RFP process.
  • Research and assess specific customer needs.  
  • Prepare and present the Dupler Office Value Proposition of Listen, Challenge, and Solve.
  • Close new and repeat business, meeting or exceeding sales targets as determined with the Principals
  • Leverages our Work and People Analytics software platform for behavioral space planning.
  • Accountable for negotiating contracts, pricing, discounts, when necessary.
  • Identify new service and product opportunities within assigned customer account(s).   
  • Educate the customer on industry and business trends, along with new product and work environment solutions.
  • Leads the sales process from the initial contact through final sale and punchlist and follow up.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of contract furniture industry experience.  
  • Experience with reporting and tracking in CRM.
  • Proven sales success, ideally in the commercial office furniture industry.
  • A developed network of corporate, healthcare, or higher education contacts within the Central Ohio Market.
  • Construction, architecture, design knowledge preferred.
  • Proven success in working in a cross functional team-based environment with minimal supervision.
