NiSource wanted to create a collaborative environment, different from what they had built in the past. We started by installing BEYOND® by ALLSTEEL glass walls to allow more natural light into the space and dramatically increased the number of collaboration areas. The breakroom, now called the café, was moved from the back of the office to a more central location to increase social interaction and provide an open and creative place for associates to meet. And since noise level can be an issue with any open environment, we had electronic sound masking added for acoustical privacy.
